MorphThing.com looks like you can morph anyone with anything… or anything with anyone. The end result doesn’t look to bad - but I’m just not sure how I feel about the whole morphing thing… they could have tried… I don’t know Bill Clinton and Kat Von D or Ami James and Kat Von D. LOL that would have been sickly funny. Sickly because of the huge fall out they’ve had over that autographed photo of Kat. But anyway - I’m totally rambling.

So there you go - give it a whirl… see what you can come up with - I’d love to post what you’ve made.

I have always loved the unique look that Kat has and I’m just in awe of her style… or her stylist - very must the part she plays on the show… all glamed up.  Love it.

What’s great about Bella Sugar’s article is that they go step by step through what the look.  How to re-create the look Kat has going on with the eyes, cheekbones, and those red, red lips!  Love it.

So if you’re looking to spice up your makeup line a little - why not give the Kat Von D line a try.

I’m not the only one who thinks this either - I suppose there are probably a lot of us out there who are in awe of this one woman social power-house and maybe I’ve just not seen you write about it yet either.  But I did catch a great article over at Punk in Writing where she discusses Kat Von D, Dolly Parton and Mae West as  “One Woman Empires”.  Check it out.  Pretty cool.

But now it seems that the blow up with Orbie, and the sudden switch over to Nikki Sixx has finally died down a little for Kat to show off some work that has been consuming her life for the past six weeks.

“I can’t express enough how CRAZY these past few months have been,” Kat wrote on her MySpace page. “I feel like I haven’t been able to keep as much contact with you guys as I’d like to, but a lot of that has to do with the many projects I have taken on; some that have been in the works for quite some time now.”

She went on to mention that for the last half year, she’s been hard at work on her book with Harper Collins Publishing.

“This book is in no way a biography or anything,” the LA Ink boss clarified. “My book can be best described as a pictorial timeline of my life thus far as an artist. My mother was amazing enough to save any and all of my drawings from when I was six years old to my first tattoo, to doodles I’ve done on napkins while talking on the phone! So I figured it would be cool to layout my life in an artistic form.”

I’d heard that Kat was working on a book and it’s great to see that she’s been quietly getting things done for her book - I’m seriously in awe of this woman who has her own TV show, she’s a business entrepreneur with her own shop, skateboard line, sunglasses… and other things that I can’t even think of off the top of my head - oh right a makeup line, a MUSINK concert/tattoo convention and now she’s been working on a book.

Where does she find the time?
